You stepped inside the café your mom had sent you the location for, scanning the space for the guy you were here to meet.
“Hey, Y/N!”
You heard your name and saw him waving from a distance. Putting on a polite smile, you walked toward him—and for a moment, you swore he stopped breathing.
“Hi,” you greeted as you got a proper look at him. He was even more handsome than you imagined. His golden skin glowed under the café lights, practically shining brighter than the sun.
“I hope you at least know my name,” he said with a playful smirk, pulling out a chair for you like a true gentleman before sitting down himself.
“So, what do you do?” he asked once you nodded to confirm that you did, in fact, know his name.
“I’m a designer,” you replied simply, a warm smile on your lips.
“Well, I’d rather talk casually... instead of being all formal with my future wife,” he said, scratching the back of his neck nervously.
“Future wife?” you teased, raising a brow, making him turn red.
“I decided that even before I came here,” he said, locking eyes with you.
The conversation flowed so naturally that you didn’t want it to end. For the first time in a long time, you actually felt comfortable—like being with him was easy, familiar. When he offered to walk you out and even booked a cab for you, it felt... right.
He noted down the driver’s number and leaned in through the cab window. “Text me—or call—once you reach home, okay?”
You nodded obediently with a soft smile. Just as the cab driver waited patiently, you motioned for him to come closer. When he leaned in, you turned his face gently to the side and placed a light kiss on his cheek.
“Bye,” you whispered.
He stood up straight, clearly surprised—but smiling. He waved, and you waved back as the cab pulled away. Glancing at your phone, you noticed he had saved his contact on your phone as ‘TO-BE-HUSBAND’. You couldn’t help but smile.
TIME SKIP
After freshening up, you flopped onto your bed and grabbed your ringing phone. Your face lit up when you saw the caller ID: Taehyung.
“YAH, YOU DUMB HEAD! DIDN’T I TELL YOU TO CALL ME?!” he yelled, pouting on the other end.
“Tae~ leave that! Guess what?” you said excitedly.
“What? Don’t tell me you rejected him again,” he laughed, imagining your annoyed face.
“Can’t you accept that something good might’ve actually happened for once?”
“When it comes to you? The news usually isn’t good,” he teased, laughing harder.
“Okay, okay. Tell me—how was the date?” he finally asked, calming down.
The second he asked, your face lit up again.
“HE WAS DAMN HOT! And I think... maybe he’s the one Mom was talking about!”
You started gushing, and Tae quietly listened, smiling on the other side of the line.
“And guess what, Tae? He has a girl best friend too! He said he’ll introduce her to me tomorrow. So that means he doesn’t have a problem with me having a guy best friend, right?” you asked with excitement.
Just as you were about to continue, he cut in.
“Ahh… Muffin, I gotta go. Management’s calling,” he said suddenly, making your smile drop a little. He never hung up like this before.
But you shrugged it off.
“Okay... Bye, idiot,” you muttered and ended the call.
Just then, you got a message from ‘TBH’ that made you grin.
Actually Y/N, I think Ria (his girl best friend) won’t be able to meet you tomorrow.
Why? What happened? Is everything alright? you replied.
Nothing serious. She’s on her period, and she usually gets bad cramps. I’ll be taking care of her.
It’s okay. I can meet her another time. Don’t worry about it—health is more important,
you texted back with a small smile.
As you put your phone aside, you couldn’t help but think about how Tae used to take care of you during your own “rough days,” and in that warm little thought, you finally drifted off to sleep.
(Don’t worry, guys—she changed into her pajamas before sleeping 😌)

I OFFER YOU A CUTE + HOT + HANDSOME MAN 😎
